Call for Ambassadors: Philadelphia Open Studio Tours 2024

We’re excited to announce that the Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (POST) 2024 is approaching! Due to popular demand, we are offering more volunteer opportunities for artists to get involved. We are seeking a total of 6 dedicated POST Ambassadors this year across the city to help make POST a success for everyone!

Ambassadors responsibilities:

1. Host or Organize Meet-Ups

  • Host or independently plan a local meet-up (virtual or in person) with artists in your area before POST to communicate and strategize. Contact CFEVA to promote your meet-up.

    OR

  • Attend the POST Community Forum and share the invite with POST artists in your area. Coordinate a in-person meeting if possible to join the Zoom as a group.

2. Distribution Point

  • Serve as a distribution point for your neighborhood artists this September/October. Be a point-of-contact for your fellow POST artists to pick up their materials.

    AND/OR

  • Pick up enough directories from CFEVA for your building or area to distribute among local artists and visitors. Coordinate with CFEVA to arrange pick-up.

3. Outreach

  • Distribute additional posters provided by CFEVA to your local businesses or other areas where local events are promoted.

  • Contact at least 10 of your local press, businesses, organizations with letters produced by CFEVA.

  • Share POST recruitment on social media using the graphics and captions provided by CFEVA. Sample caption: "I'm working in collaboration with POST organizers to spread the word..." or send a similar message to your mailing list.

  • Post (and tag us!) in your individual promotion as a POST Ambassador.

  • Share the POST events - Kickoff Party and Feel the Love Happy Hour - to your stories (Instagram, Facebook).

4. Attend the POST Party

  • Join us at the POST Party at CFEVA anytime between 4 PM and 7 PM on October 1 to celebrate the season's kick-off. Bring friends, both new and returning to POST, to celebrate and connect with fellow art lovers.

    OR

  • Can't make the Party? Attend the Artist meet-up at the Trestle Inn on October 10 from 6 to 9 PM!

5. Wrap-up

  • We are counting on all participating artists to encourage their visitors to fill out the short POST visitor survey.

  • Ambassadors are asked to send an additional link to the POST survey in their thank-you letter to visitors.

Bonus: Visit Studios on your 'off' weekend

  • We encourage Ambassadors make plans to visit studios on the weekend they are not opening their own studio, or in the 'off' season of POST.

CFEVA is pleased to offer free registration for POST 2025*, and recognition in print and on our website for committed Ambassadors. Please confirm your commitment to volunteer by August 15. We hope to expand the opportunity and offer more Ambassador spots in the next year.

*Free POST 2025 registration offered to committed volunteer Ambassadors for the duration of the POST season, August through November. The free registration must be claimed by the artist during the 2025 registration window beginning February 2025 and ending July 31, 2025. Free registration may only be applied towards POST 2025 registration. If the artist cannot participate, free registration may be exchanged for free print advertising in the POST 2025 directory with the advertising artwork of the artists’ choice.
