Meet the Artists!

Over 250 artists across Philadelphia will open their doors to visitors this October. Here are what some artists are doing to prepare their studios, and what they love most about POST.

What are you most looking forward to during POST?

  • I love interacting with everyone whom comes to my studio, both longtime friends and new visitors. I'm always excited by the people who come and their reason for coming and their response to my artwork and studio.

  • We eagerly anticipate welcoming a diverse array of guests, including our dedicated patrons, and both new and longtime friends. This years POST studio tours will symbolize our final exhibition at this location after 5 decades. We are excited to receive the community's affectionate support as we conclude this chapter of Dupree Gallery at 703 South 6th St.

  • I am most looking forward to talking and connecting with visitors from all over the city, and sharing my space. I especially love people's reactions to my emotional landscapes, and love having the opportunity to discuss my work with others.

Do you have any tips for visitors exploring studios during POST?

  • Don't be afraid to engage and talk to the artists! Ask questions, introduce yourself, say where you heard about our studio, whatever you are comfortable with. Many of us are shy but we are glad you are there.

  • Artists love questions about their work and process, especially ones they hadn't considered themselves yet. Your interesting question could be the impetus for a body of entirely new work.
