Mi-Kyoung Lee

Mi-Kyoung Lee is an Associate Professor, Program Director of Craft+Material Studies,  and Head of the Fibers program at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She received her BFA from Dong-A University, and she earned her two master’s degrees in Book Arts and Printmaking from The University of the Arts and in Fibers from Cranbrook Academy of Arts.   Lee has had eighteen solo exhibitions and a number of national and international lectures, curatorial and collaborative projects, and exhibitions, including the Arizona Art Museum, Cranbrook Museum of Art, Reading Public Museum, Painted Bride Art Center, New York, and Chicago SOFA, Busan Metropolitan Museum in Korea, Espace de Tisserands, France, International Fiber Art Fair in Seoul, Korea, and International  Beijing Fiber Biennale.  Her work has been represented by Snyderman-Works Gallery in Philadelphia since 2004.  Lee received a fellowship from the Center for Emerging Artist in Philadelphia in 2016. Lee is a recipient of the Junior Minority Faculty Grant Awards from the Lindback Foundation as well as a number of faculty development grants from The University of the Arts and Korea Foundation for her research and curatorial projects.
