Mary Salvante has nearly 20 years of experience in the art program management field. She has worked with professionals from both the public and private sectors on the planning and implementation of public and community art programs including business executives, designers, advertising and marketing professionals, museum and gallery directors, artists and fabricators, and building and facilities managers. As the Senior Art Advisor at a successful art advisory firm in New York City, Mary was responsible for planning and implementing art acquisition, site-specific commissions, and temporary and permanent exhibitions for many corporations and organizations including ASCAP, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Hiro Real Estate, MetLife, News Corporation, and the National Urban League.

Mary builds upon this experience in the Philadelphia region through her firm, Salvante Fine Art Services. Recent projects include art advising and program management for the University of Pennsylvania, British Airways, Stockton Real Estate Advisors, Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, the Main Line Art Center, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, Independence Seaport Museum, and the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.

In her work as a curator and consultant, Mary has worked closely with local and regional arts and culture organizations as well as many of the areas leading Universities including the University of the Arts, Temple University, and Philadelphia University. As a committee member for the Philadelphia Open Studio Tour (POST), Philadelphia’s largest artists open studio tour; Art in City Hall; and Inliquid, Mary has had the opportunity to work with many of Philadelphia’s most accomplished professional artists, arts administrators, and educators.

Mary holds an MS degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University, Philadelphia, and a BFA degree from the School of Visual Arts, New York City. She stays current with arts management techniques and strategies by attending conferences and other education programs such as the Public Relations and Marketing Certificate Program at New York University; the Philadelphia Sculptors and Tri-State Sculptors Guild Conference, Philadelphia; the New York City Museum Educators Roundtable Conference at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum; the College Art Association Conference in New York City; Young Audiences Leadership Conference, Princeton Club, NYC;  Young Audiences Professional Development Conference, Dallas, TX; and The Arts and Business Council Business Volunteers for the Arts, Executive Training Program, Philadelphia.
