Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA) was founded in 1983 as a support system for the visual artists of the greater Philadelphia region. The exhibit CFEVA at 40: Four Decades of Supporting Contemporary Art, celebrates the 40th anniversary of the with an exhibition of work by 40 contemporary artists affiliated with the center.
Michener Art Museum Chief Curator Dr. Laura Igoe will lead a panel discussion with artists Donald E. Camp, Ziui Chen and Sophie Glenn to discuss the role of the arts in society. How can organizations, such as museums and CFEVA, ensure public access to the arts. Following the panel discussion, guests are invited to explore the exhibit and meet the artists.
