Christopher T Wood, a native of Pittsburgh and long-time resident of Chicago, moved to Philadelphia in 2013. He lives and works in West Philadelphia, where his studio practice is influenced by ‘Pataphysics, Zen Buddhism, Art Conservation, and Hyperobjects. He incorporates a diverse range of materials, from graphite, charcoal, and acrylic to photography, digital, earth, and food. In his spare time he cares for his micro-collections of objects such as sticks, toothpaste, and spoiled milk. He has a BFA in Illustration from the University of Dayton and an MFA in Painting from Northern Illinois University. His work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions internationally.
