Bill Gerhard (b. 1974) is an artist and educator. He received his BFA in Crafts at the University of the Arts in 1997and earned his MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2001, where he majored in Fiber andMaterial Studies. In 2011, he earned a certificate in Art and Design Education at the Pratt Institute before movingback to Philadelphia. From 2013-2015 he taught at Carson Valley Children's Aid in Flourtown, PA. Bill currentlyteaches art at Martin Luther King High School. His artwork has been shown at venues such as ThreeWalls,Chicago (2006), The Drawing Center, NYC (2007), Pierogi 2000, Brooklyn (2013), Fleisher Art Memorial,Philadelphia, (2013), and most recently, in 2019 at the Main Line Art Center, where he was invited to present newwork in the 15th Annual Betsy Meyer Memorial exhibition. Bill's home and workspace is located in the Mt. Airyneighborhood of Philadelphia.
