Philly Stewards' ArtistSpeak

CFEVA is delighted to announce a new partnership with Philly Stewards to present ArtistSpeak,
a conversation series focused on connecting Philadelphia's artists and makers with collectors,
enthusiasts, and the public. ArtistSpeak is free and open to all interested.

This month we will be featuring artists from the Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (POST) presented by the Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA). Michele Kishita, Richard Ranck and Michelle Marcuse will be discussing their diverse practices and taking questions. We hope you will join us on Wednesday, October 11 at CFEVA (237 S. 18th Street, 3A) in Rittenhouse Square.

The event runs from 6:30-8:30 and is free to all. Complementary drinks and snacks will be provided.

Michele Kishita's work is influenced by her observations of nature and is especially influenced by the stylization of Japanese painting and printmaking.

Richard Ranck's abstractions explore the unknown and raw sensory experience with a nod towards primitivism as well as post-expressionism.

Michelle Marcuse's mixed media practice involves "fairytales, utopias and dystopias" and the way imagined ideals are reflected through the construction and deconstruction of the built environment.
