David Wilson

2023 Finalist

David Wilson's work ranges from meticulously carved wooden and silicone sculptures to public works to multimedia installations. Wilson has exhibited in sites across the country including The Bronx Museum (NYC), 5- 50 Gallery (NYC), Socrates Sculpture Park (NYC), Freedman Gallery at Albright College (Reading, PA), Novella Gallery (NYC), Reverse Gallery (NYC) and the Flow.15 public art exhibition as part of the Bronx Museum’s Artist in the Marketplace program. He has participated in residencies at LMCC's Workspace, Sculpture Space, Vermont Studio Center, and the Bronx Museum and is a visiting artist at Harvestworks and is a participant with White Columns' Artist Registry. He has received awards from the Windgate Foundation, NYFA, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and received fiscal sponsorhip from Fractured Atlas. He has work in numerous private collections. Wilson earned an MFA from Hunter College (2012) where he currently teaches sculpture.
