Friday, August 27, 2010 : Open Call - Career Development Program Fellowship : Call for Artists: Career Development Program Fellowship for Emerging Artists. For a select group of highly talented artists, our free Two-Year Career Development Program includes: exhibitions and exposure opportunities around the region and beyond, a three-person show in the second year of the fellowship, individual career counseling, professional development workshops, mentorship, community, volunteer opportunities, and alumni exhibitions and travel grants. This program serves artists residing within a 100 mile radius of Philadelphia. Monday, August 16, 2010 : Community Exhibitions : The Center For Emerging Visual Artists (Philadelphia PA)
The Center is currently accepting applications to join our Regional Community Arts Program (RCAP) Artist Registry. Artists in the registry will be eligible to participate in The Center's Community Exhibition Program, which includes exhibitions in public spaces such as hospitals, schools, parks, and more.
Requirements:
-Must be interested in exhibiting in public spaces
-Must live within 90 miles of Philadelphia
-Works submitted must be available and ready to hang/install
Submission Guidelines: Please send up to 20 slides or digital images, a slide list (name, title, dimensions, medium, and price), and a resume. Tuesday, June 08, 2010 : Open Call- 2011 Visiting Curator : Call for Curators: Tenth Annual Emerging Curator Exhibition The Center for Emerging Visual Artists (Philadelphia PA) Open call- 2011 Visiting Curator Deadline: September 15, 2010 The Center for Emerging Visual Artists Gallery is currently accepting proposals from emerging curators for its Tenth Annual Visiting Curator Exhibition, scheduled to take place in January 2011. Once chosen, the curator will be solely responsible for selecting the artists and artworks for an exhibition. Each proposed exhibition must consist of at least 4 artists. The applicant may include all media in the proposal. Curators must live within 100 miles of Philadelphia. Compensation: Curators will be compensated $500 per exhibition. Curators must submit the following to be eligible: -A curator's statement detailing the proposed exhibition (up to 2 pages) -A current resume -A list of artists included in the exhibition -Digital images for at least 4 of the included artists -Current resumes of all the included artists Application deadline: 9/15/2010 Application fee: $10.00 For more information or to receive a gallery floor-plan please contact Genevieve Coutroubis at 215 546-7775 x11 or genevieve@cfeva.org It is strongly suggested that applicants visit the gallery to get a sense of the space prior to applying.
